¡Hasta la vista - Camino Barcelona!

Hi everyone!

I thought it would be nice to write a “farewell letter” before I leave at the end of this week! :-(

In three weeks I will have to go back to Germany to finish my studies. I can´t say that I´m really happy about it - leaving Barcelona will be quite hard. I was working for Camino Barcelona for six months and during this time I made some great friends here and I certainly will miss them.

I´m really happy about having had the opportunity to work for Camino. I really loved working with so many international people. I got to know people from all over the world, which was really interesting. I will take some nice memories of the school with me.

Working and living in Barcelona was also a nice experience. There’s always something to do after work. During the summer you can go to the beach and when the weather is bad there are a lot of cultural activities to do. And of course, there are some nice shopping centres to spend time in! :) The thing which I will miss the most of Barcelona/Spain is the way of life here! No matter at what time you will always find people chatting in the street, children playing… I like that a lot as after 10pm you won´t find anybody in the streets of Germany! ;-)

The hardest thing of leaving Camino will be leaving the staff - especially my two reception colleagues and friends, Kate and Laura. I´m really grateful that I could work with them and I appreciate them a lot!

Thanks to everyone, to my colleagues, to the teachers and last but not least to all the students, who never let me get bored with their questions! :-P

xxx

Verena :)

Hola Verena! I share your sentiments in leaving Barcelona/Spain with a heavy heart as I also felt the same. Good luck on your studies and thank you very much for your assistance during my stay in Camino Barcelona. Make the most of your remaining days in Spain. In case you happen to visit the Philippines in the future, let me know & I will gladly show you around. Take care!

    Hi Verena!
I guess we are in the same boat as I’ve been spending 6 months abroad too and I’m about to leave. I’m so sad to be leaving as it’s been a wonderful experience and I’ve made so many good friends and had such a great time! Too bad that everything comes to an end, but I’ll have good memories for the rest of my life. Good luck with your studies then!
    Sara
