¿Celebras San Valentín? Mañana es 14 de febrero y en toda Europa y Estados Unidos se celebra el día de los enamorados. Los escaparates de las tiendas se llenan de corazones rojos y la publicidad nos incita a comprar, comprar, comprar artículos románticos que no sirven para nada, perfumes, cajas de bombones, corazones de peluche… Por obligación tienes que salir a cenar con tu pareja y sentirte feliz en este día (o desgraciado/a si estás solo/a).

Do you celebrate Saint Valentine’s? Tomorrow is the 14th of February and in the whole Europe and United States the day of love is celebrated. The shop windows are full of red hearts and publicity forces us to buy, buy, and buy romantic articles which are completely unuseful, perfumes, chocolates… You really feel like YOU HAVE TO go out for dinner with your partner and feel happy this day (or sad if you are alone!)

En España es una tradición bastante reciente, probablemente llegó aquí por influencia del mercado americano, aunque no lo celebramos con tanta devoción como en otros países vecinos.

In Spain it is quite a recent tradition, we probably got it influenced by the American market, however we do not celebrate it with so much passion as in other neighbour countries.

A mí personalmente, el tener que comprar por comprar porque me obligue la publicidad de unos grandes almacenes, no me gusta en absoluto, pero tampoco quiero ser una amargada que reniega de este “bonito día” y no hacer nada.

I personally, do not enjoying just buying for the sake of buying or because publicity of a big store convinces me, but I do not want either be a bitter person that rejects this “nice pinky” day and do not do anything.

Por lo tanto, te invito a que pruebes a preparar un postre de amor que seguro sorprenderá a tu pareja , fresas con chocolate:

Therefore i invite you to prepare a Love dessert that will surprise your partner for sure  , Strawberrys with chocolate:

400 gramos de fresas  400 gramms of strawberrys

100 gramos de chocolate fondant   100 grams of fondant chocolate

1/2 taza de nata líquida   1/2 cup of cream

1 cucharada de mantequilla  A spoonful of butter

30 gramos de azúcar   30 grams of sugar

Troceamos el chocolate y lo ponemos en un cazo con la nata líquida

Cut the chocolate in pieces and put it in a saucepan with the cream

Colocamos el cazo al baño maría y movemos sin parar, con una cuchara de madera, hasta que el chocolate se derrita y se consiga una crema suave.

Put the saucepan in warm water and move constantly with a wooden spoon until the chocolate melts and it becomes a soft cream.

Añadimos la mantequilla y el azúcar al chocolate, mezclamos muy bien y dejamos que se enfríe.

Add the butter and the sugar to the chocolate, mix very well and leave it to cool.

Mientras, lavamos las fresas con cuidado y las colocamos sobre papel absorbente para que se sequen.

Meanwhile wash the strawberrys carefully and place them on paper to dry.

Cuando la crema de chocolate esté tibia, introducimos en ella las fresas sin llegar a las hojas, y las pinchamos en un palillo.

When the chocolate cream is luke warm, place the strawberries inside, without covering the leaves, and skewer them on a stick.

Las enfriamos en el frigorífico y servimos con mucho cariño.

Cool them in the fridge and serve cold with lots of love!
