Raffle at Camino: Win a trip to Montserrat!

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

As part of this year’s Christmas activities, we are going on a day-trip to the beautiful mountain and monastery of Montserrat on the 26th December! Among all the students who sign in for the trip we will raffle one trip for free! Ask Kate or Rosanna for further details!

What is Montserrat?

Montserrat, meaning literally ‘jagged mountain‘ is near Barcelona. Apart from being a beautiful location, it also holds the abbey and sanctuary of the Virgin of Montserrat, commonly known as ‘La Moreneta‘, as the Virgin’s image is black.

Being located at 1236 meters (4055 feet) above the sea level, Montserrat offers an amazing view of Barcelona and all the valley around it.

Montserrat has also been related to the legend of the Holy Grail.
