¡Hola a todos! ¿Qué tal la vida en Barcelona? En Camino, como cada semana, seguimos dando la bienvenida a muchos alumnos y disfrutando del verano todos juntos. Esta semana, por ejemplo, vimos un espectáculo de flamenco en vivo y acudimos a uno de los museos más apasionantes de la ciudad: el Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña, en el “Palacio de Montjuïc”. ¡Tan sólo por el edificio ya merece la pena una visita!
Hoy tenemos una propuesta muy original: Séverine, Chiara y Jon, 3 alumnos de la clase de Pablo, han escrito una carta a los estudiantes de otros planetas para contarles todo lo que hacen en la escuela.

“¡Hola Chicos!
Es un mensaje de la Tierra. La vida en la escuela Camino Barcelona es muy divertida. Nosotros estudiamos español en clase pero también hacemos otras cosas como ir a la playa, ir a la discoteca, conocer la ciudad o ir a los museos.
La escuela está en el centro de la ciudad y Barcelona es arquitectónica y vitalista. En nuestra clase hay estudiantes de países diferentes. Es un grupo enérgico y algunas veces como personas de otros planetas porque somos todos completamente diferentes. (more…)

Wow! What a summer we’re having here! We’re certainly keeping busy, with over 160 students from 22 nationalities in the school this week! We’ve been having amazing weather, and both staff and students have been enjoying spending time in the school’s garden. Our student activities program is proving extremely popular, and this week our students have enjoyed a shopping tour, photo tour, tapas evening and a football match! With the school being so central (just 5 minutes’ walk from Plaza Cataluña), and many students staying in our own ‘superior residence’/’superior apartments’, just a short walk from the school, it’s easy for students to join in the afternoon and evening activities every night!
¡Hola a todos! My name is Zeenia and I am currently studying and working at Camino Barcelona. I applied for the work experience programme which means I have Spanish classes in the morning and I work in the school during the afternoons. I guess that puts me in the great position, as a student and as a member of staff, to tell you about the school, the city and life here in general.
As a student of French, Spanish and Portuguese, I am currently on my year abroad in order to improve my language skills and knowledge as well as further my understanding of the cultures behind the languages. Having been in Portugal and France before arriving here in Spain, I have travelled aplenty during the last fifteen months. However, being in Barcelona really has made me forget about home since it is a city that welcomes anyone and everyone, involves both locals and tourists in several cultural and social activities and simply thrives on the diversity of people, culture and entertainment. As long as you embrace your experience in Barcelona I am certain it is almost impossible not to have an amazing time!
Barcelona has always had a great reputation due to the fact there is never a shortage of activities to keep you occupied. From the breath-taking architecture, relaxing parks, wonderful Mediterranean Sea and long sandy beaches to the mouth-watering gastronomy, numerous lively bars and an inspiring city centre, you will never have to rack your brains for something to do or see! Yet although I knew this about Barcelona before arriving, I was dubious as to whether it were all true or a great exaggeration. Fear not since Barcelona is a fantastic place and I have found all the amazing comments I have heard to be true.
