Concerts at the ‘Palau de la Música’
Wednesday, December 12th, 2007Have you ever seen a concert at the Palau de la Música?
Did you know they don’t only have classical concerts but also Pop, Rock, Cabaret and Jazz music?
Just try to imagine one second a group like Tindersticks playing their elegant pop music in such a beautiful place! It is just magical, very very different… a pure delight!!! The place is so amazing that I also saw Ute Lemper (twice!!!), la Locomotora Negra (a swing band from Barcelona), Arab Strap, Ryutchi Sakamoto and believe me, even though the tickets are a bit expensive, I never regretted it!
If you have never had the opportunity to see this fantastic building, just check their website and you will discover the beautiful main Concert Hall (and its great central skylight), the foyer (where you can sip a glass of cava during the intermission!!!), the amazing modernist decoration of the building, in a few words: THE jewel of the Modernist buildings. (To me, at least!) (more…)
