Primavera Sound Festival - Music in Barcelona!

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Hi everyone! Here I am again and this time with my own Blog profile :)

Hope you all are doing great and enjoying these sunny days in Barcelona. Talking about nice weather, here I have a really cool alternative to pass the last days of May and spring: Primavera Sound Festival

The festival runs from the 29th to the 31st of May and as I’ve heard it is now known as the “first party of the summer”. It’s like welcoming summer… Well, we all know the reputation of Spanish people… ‘fiesta, fiesta toda la noche’ :P . I really believe that it has nothing to do with the seasons of the year. It seems more to me as a kind of “excuse” to party. (more…)

Let’s dance Salsa!

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Hello everybody!

Have you ever asked yourself where you can go to learn Salsa in Barcelona? Well, I give you a tip… at Camino!

Some weeks ago we had one of our most popular activities: the Salsa class! Like always, we had a full class of enthusiastic students willing to learn some steps of this typical latin dance. It was an unique opportunity of learning how to dance Salsa with a professional teacher.

Teodora taught us something about the rythm and the side to side feel you have to understand while dancing salsa. (more…)

Hello everybody!

Today I’m glad to introduce you to a new member of our team, Sonia! You probably have already seen her smiling face at reception :) Sonia has a great suggestion for you to do this weekend. I will let her speak about it!

Hi guys!!! I’m Sonia and I’m from Andorra (the small country up in the mountains), I’ve been living in London for almost 4 years and I missed Spain so much that I couldn’t wait to be back, now living in Barcelona, enjoying the lovely sun and nice atmosphere of this exciting city!!! (more…)

Eurovision 2008

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Hola people! Barcelona calling :)

How are you all doing?

Probably many of you have heard that next week, between 20th and 24th of May the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Belgrade, Serbia.

I’m a big fan of this song competition, not so much of the songs, but much of the idea of having a European Festival. It’s funny to see how countries that had conflicts in the past end up voting for each other :D

The Eurovision Song Contest is one of the longest running television shows in the world. It first started on the 24th of May 1956 and was based upon the Italian Festival di San (more…)
