The end of the year is coming very quickly, here we are in December and preparing ourselves for Christmas and New Year

Tuesday, 14:45 - Workshop: “Street” Spanish

“¿Qué pasa, tío?” Do you know what it means? In this, workshop, you will learn the most popular colloquial expressions of daily life in Spain.

Wednesday, 14:45 - Exhibition: “World Press Photo 2008″

Good afternoon!

I hope that you all have had a great week-end and that you are ready to start this new week full of energy…

This time my blog will be a little different as the ones I usually write as I am not going to write a blog about what’s on in the city, swing music or movie (my weaknesses…) but about one conversation I have had this week with one of our students: Charlie.

In this workshop, you will learn something more about Spanish pronunciation and phonetics. It will be very interesting to learn how to speak like a Spaniard!

Wednesday, 15:00 - Visit to the “Palau de la Musica” concert hall

Come with us to discover this magnificent monument of Catalan modernism. Designed by the architect Domenech i Muntaner and one of the most important concert halls in the world! (more…)

 Hi everybody!

The preparations for Christmas have started here in Barcelona. “Las Ramblas” and “Plaza Cataluña” are adorned with decorations and lights and we are already thinking about the Christmas gifts … Why not give a gift to yourself and experience Christmas and New Year in Barcelona ? 

Barcelona really comes to life during the festive period, with colourful Christmas markets, fascinating local traditions, and best of all, a wonderful Christmas spirit!

The best way to celebrate Christmas and New Year is to enjoy the Christmas activities that we have prepared for you as you learn Spanish at the same time, the fantastic Christmas atmosphere in Barcelona will do the rest! (more…)

Hola!

I hope you have had the chance of enjoying one of the warm and sunny Sundays we are having this autumn in Barcelona! If you are not one of the ‘late sleepers’ type, you will probably have seen a lot of people around the city on those days.

Barcelonians try to make the most of their Sundays by spending the day outdoors. The morning starts with going to get the local newspaper, La Vanguardia, in one of the many news stands all over the place. Once you have the newspaper, it is very popular to go and read it in one of the many terraced bars while having a coffee (or chocolate) with churros!

After getting energy with breakfast, a lot of people head towards the different flea markets around the city. A good collectors’ market is Sant Antoni Market, where you will find lots of well priced records, CDs and DVD films. And if you are a comic book fan, you can also get lots of the old and new Spanish versions of Spiderman and other superheroes, a good variety of manga and even old versions of newspapers and (more…)

How are you all spending these autumn days in Barcelona? It’s still warm although we are in the middle of November… the winter does not want to come

I have some great news for all football fanatics … Tonight you have the chance to experience BARÇA and Camp Nou for only 10 euros and if you invite a friend the ticket costs only 5 euros!!! A wine connoisseur and sommelier will introduce us to the Spanish wine culture and we will learn how to taste different types of Spanish wines. After this workshop you will surely impress your friends and families!

Wednesday, 14:45 - Photographic exhibition about Barcelona

We will visit the Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona (MACBA) to see a photographic exhibition about the new Barcelona.
