Aida’s impressions of Barcelona
Hi folks,
I hope you are all fine and enjoying the nice weather we are having here in Barcelona. In about some days it’s time to go to the beach and get a suntan.
Our new work placement Aida has been here in Barcelona for one week and would like to share her first impressions of Barcelona with you. It’s your turn Aida!
Hola everybody!!I’m Aida (23 years old), I`m from France, I’m now doing my internship for three months at Camino Barcelona.
In France I‘m studying foreign languages applied to international trade at my university. Doing my internship in Barcelona is interesting for me because this big city offers lots of different things.
Firstly, it is a multicultural city, with beautiful scenery and lots of sunshine. Then, there are many things to do, like, going to the beach, stroll down the famous “las ramblas” where there are a lots of shops in which we can find all fashion clothes. Enjoy trying Spanish specialties like “paellas” or “patatas bravas” and the famous “tapas”. I like walking through las ramblas right down to the beach in a lively atmosphere, and seeing all the interesting shows of the street performers.
Or visit cultural and historical building like the castle of “Montjuic” which is one of the best observation points for views across the city. Or contemplate the “gaudì house”.
I came here especially to visit the amazing museum of ideas and inventions “MIBA”, in which we can find some very interesting inventions like the crystal floor or the big slide. Particularly the” Futour” exposition, indeed the ” Futour” exposition looks at the imaginary everyday objects that we will be using in 2300 , the items look so realistic that people often think that they actually work.
I’ve been here for one week, and I like the charming city of Barcelona. Spanish people are very nice, helpful and they always friendly and they smile at you, they are always here to give you information when you’re lost, for example down once of the long side streets of the gothic quarter.
In my opinion it is an attractive city and of course nobody ever gets bored here!!!!!!
I advise you to do an internship at Camino Barcelona, here because we establish new relationships with all different kinds of people of different nationalities. You will really improve your Spanish at the same time as working in a multicultural atmosphere. I’m sure it is the best way to have a very interesting experience here as well as having fun at the same time.
Aïda
