¡Hola a todos!

So after two months of staying at Camino Barcelona, I decided that its time for you to get to know me better.

My name is Nina, I am 21- years- old and I am doing an internship at Camino. At home in Germany I study languages and economics and my time here at Camino Barcelona has already been positive for me in so many ways:
First, I got to know many nice people here, starting with my colleagues and our students (so, well I guess, you all at Camino Barcelona.
Second, due to the fact that Camino is a language school, I am able to practice my English and Spanish a lot.
And third, the experience of being part of such a nice team is more than valuable for me.

Here at Camino Barcelona, I have different tasks to do and one of them is especially advantageous for you- a catalogue of DVDs and books!
We offer you the opportunity to borrow a variety of films on DVD which you might know from our activity “Spanish film”. The majority of these films were made in Spain with Spanish actors and so they are a great chance for you to improve your Spanish by watching them. Doing so, you will get used to the speed and pronunciation of Spanish (and do not worry about understanding nothing, because you can select subtitles and at the same time watch some of the most famous and highly awarded films of Spain and the Spanish speaking world. Here are some examples to inspire and animate you a little:

Volver (from Pedro Almodovar and with Penelope Cruz as main actress)
Mar adentro (which won an Oscar)
Spanglish (from James L. Brooks and with Adam Sandler as main actor)
L´auberge español (taking place in Barcelona)

So if you would like to borrow one of our DVDs, just come to the reception, ask for it, enter your name in our list and enjoy watching and listening to Spanish culture!

In case you do not like watching TV that much, you might be interested in borrowing one of our books. By reading a book, you will get used to certain spellings, idioms and ways things are expressed in Spanish.
You can choose between novels, poems, narratives and others from a variety of authors, like for example the famous Cervantes. So, we have something for everyone of you. And if you need a dictionary for your homework and studies or a guide that shows you the most important places of Barcelona, no problem, we have something for that as well. In case you would like to get more information about our different books, please do not hesitate to ask for our “library” at the reception.
