Recommendation: A restaurant - La Tramoia

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

If you are wondering where to go for lunch today, you should know that Camino Barcelona, being in the heart of the city, is surrounded by many restaurants and bars where you can enjoy very nice Spanish food! One of my favourite restaurants in Barcelona is called La Tramoia, in the corner between Gran Via and Rambla de Catalunya, in Rambla de Catalunya 15 (just 5 minutes walk from the school).

In La Tramoia,  you can eat very nice ‘tapas’ or any other typical Spanish dishes, for a very reasonable price. There is a cosy and clean atmosphere. In the upstairs area, you can see how these delicious dishes are cooked, as there is an ‘open kitchen’ in the restaurant. La Tramoia belongs to a chain of very good restaurants in Barcelona called ‘Grup Cacheiro’. You can find further information, pictures, and even book your table at http://www.grupcacheiro.com/

A restaurant by the beach in Barceloneta

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

Christmas in Barcelona is always fascinating. Spaniards normally live these special dates with relatives at home. However, yesterday my family and I decided to celebrate “San Esteban” having lunch on a restaurant by the beach.

We went to ‘Restaurante Salamanca’, next to the Barceloneta Beach. Even that we are on December, the weather was mild enough to have lunch on the terrace, eating seafood and enjoying the beach view!

Christmas course

Monday, December 18th, 2006

Today we welcomed the new students starting with their Christmas course.

We have prepared a special Christmas welcome party where students can meet between them meanwhile tasting traditional Spanish Christmas sweets, don’t miss the ‘turrón’, ‘mazapán’ or the ‘polvorones’!

During the week our students will have the opportunity to learn the Christmas traditions in Spain, sing Spanish Christmas Carols and enjoy all the festive atmosphere that Barcelona has to offer on Christmas.

We’ll be informing you about all the exciting things that we have prepared for our students during the week.
