In only two weeks we will be launching this year’s second Club 50+ course. This course has 2 more start dates this year: 03rd May 2010 & 10th May 2010.

The Club 50+ course is ideal for mature students and senior citizens who wish to learn Spanish with students of a similar age. The course is held in the mornings and consists of 15 Spanish lessons/ week (3 lessons per day). In the classes students will be entirely with students of 50 years and over.

This 1 or 2 weeks course includes a range of activities and visits with tutors which are all included in the price!

The cultural activities included are activities such as Gaudí’s architecture, visits to museums, a tapas dinner, an excursion etc., organizes by tutors from our staff! Our activity programme will be published shortly here in our school blog!!!

Monday 19th April, 7:45 pm - Welcome Drink
Join us at the Tequitlan Bar just around the corner from school to enjoy a drink and meet all the new students!

Tuesday 20th April, 1pm - Workshop:Traditional Spanish Dishes
Today we are going to learn about typical dishes prepared in Catalonia and the rest of Spain. A good way to learn something new about Spanish culture and of course some new vocabulary!

Wednesday 21st April, 6.45pm - Walk through the Grácia neighbourhood
This afternoon we are going to wander through the most bohemian part of Barcelona: the suburb of Grácia. Home to students, artists and writers and with many picturesque narrow streets and shady squares to explore!

Hi everyone!

I’m here to tell those of you how don’t know about the D.E.L.E. exam!

This exam is an internationally recognised qualification which will prove to everyone just how good your Spanish really is!

Although choosing to do an exam may not sound like a lot of fun this one is guaranteed to look good on your C.V. AND impress your mum!!
Here at Camino we offer different D.E.L.E preparation courses throughout the year and our next one is starting VERY SOON on the 20th of April! The courses last for 4 weeks before you take the actual exam and we have a 95% pass rate!!!

Our D.E.L.E. preparation course is MUCH more intensive than our normal intensive course and if you’re really looking to improve all aspects of your Spanish in a short space of time then this is the course for you.

And don’t worry because you can take this exam no matter whether you have just begun learning Spanish or are practically a native speaker as there are FOUR different levels that you can sign up for!

If you’re interested in this course and would like to know some more details then you’re in luck because next week we are having an open meeting about the D.E.L.E! Monday 22nd March, 2-3pm: Welcome Drink
After two weeks without it, the welcome drink is back! Come and get to know the new students over a ‘copa de vino tinto’!

Tuesday 23rd March, 2pm: Workshop - The Great Spanish Quiz
Come and test your knowledge and see how much you REALLY know about Spain! With questions varying from geography to politics this is a great way to improve your general knowledge, learn some knew vocabulary and unleash your competitive side!

Wednesday 24th March, 3.30pm: Walk down Las Ramblas and through the harbour
The perfect afternoon stroll to relax after class and see one of the most famous streets in Barcelona as well as enjoying time by the sea. Let’s hope it stays sunny!

Join us for a drink in school and get to meet some new faces!

Tuesday 2nd March, 1p.m. - Workshop on the Cover Letter
This is very useful for all of you who might be looking for a job in Barcelona, and even if you’re not it will be a good opportunity to learn more vocabulary! This workshop will teach you how to write the Cover Letter that you need to send, along with your CV, to the company that you wish to work for!

Wednesday 3rd March, 2.30pm - Visit to Parc Güell
Come with us on a visit to Gaudí’s beautiful Parc Güell! Not only will you get to admire the beautiful architecture and craftmanship but there are amazing views over the whole of Barcelona!

It’s the opening of the John Baldassari exhibition at the MACBA museum which we are going to go and see while enjoying a glass of cava!

Ideal for anyone who has a sweet tooth and wants to see amazing sculptures made out of chocolate!

Come and have a welcome drink in the school and get to know all the new students and your classmates better!

Tuesday 26th January, at 1pm - Workshop on Spanish sayings using different parts of the body. This is a great opportunity to learn new vocabulary and phrases and to speak more like a native!

Wednesday 27th of January, at 2pm- Bar: la Xampanyeria “Can Paixano”. This is a great, lively bar with really cheap cava and tapas!! We will meet at the school before going so be sure not to miss out on what will be a really fun afternoon!

I hope that you are all enjoying the first days of Autumn and its very mild temperatures here in Barcelona!

Today I have very interesting news for people looking for a good Spanish Business Course. Our Business Spanish course will be starting again on 16th November.
