WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

Monday, July 12th, 2010

We are the champions!!! Incredible but true!!! Champions of Europe and World!!!

Andres Iniesta struck a dramatic winner GOAL to give Spain World Cup glory for the first time but condemned the Netherlands to their third defeat in a final. Justice was done when the Spanish hero struck four minutes from the end of extra time.

The Dutch intended to take Spain away from its graceful passing game. And they frequently did, sometimes with brutal intent.

Enhorabuena!!! Felicidades al mejor equipo del mundo!!!

Thanks to the Paul the ‘Psychic’ Octopus!!! We love you!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa - Which country will win?

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Hi to all football lovers :D

2010 Football World Cup will start in just 2 days!!! This is the most watched event in the whole world! And the big questions is: Which country will win this year? Spain? Brasil? Italy? Argentina? Paraguay? Germany? Netherlands?…. Hopefully Spain :D

Camino will publish a blog about this event every week, like we did with European Football Cup when Spain won 8) and we will inform you about all the matches and the group standings.

This time, my colleague Sylvain who has recently started working in Camino has the honor to publish the first blog about this event.

I think it will be very funny to see everyone supporting their team. Below is Sylvain blog with information about group standings and the Spanish TV:s that will broadcast this event:

Now, put your hand in the air, put your most ridiculous hat on your head, wear your favourite team T-shirt … and scarf, socks… well what you want… But you have to go on the street all this next month. Why? Because in 2 days will begin the Football World cup :D

Ok, ok, this event takes place at the other end of the World, in South Africa, but Barcelona is ready for one month of festivity and parties. Especially because most Spaniards are convinced that “La roja”, is one of the favourite countries to win this cup…

You have to know that the channels’ broadcasting is a bit chaotic, every channel wants to broadcast the matches but a few of them can. Important thing, each math of the Spanish team you will be able to watch on (more…)

OLYMPIC GAMES BEIJING 2008

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

Hi everyone!!! This summer is full of sports’ emotions and especially for Spain, who lastly seems to be winning always :P. After the European football championship ‘08, where Spain was the winner :D … we are thinking to update you with news from the Olympic Games 2008.

The original Olympic Games were first recorded in 776 BC in Olympia, Greece (and there is where they got the name from). Every four years men from all over Greece were gathered in a sport festival to honor their gods Zeus and Hera.

The Olympic Games are now divided into summer and winter Olympic Games. This year, the Summer Olympic Games will take place in China, in the capital Beijing. As many of you come from different countries and even different continents, it would be great to open the school blog in the morning and get some news (mostly :P ) about Spain and of (more…)

Euro Football Cup 2008 - Spain wins the final

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Hi everyone! SPAIN in the FINAL!!! ESPAÑA a la FINAL!!!

We are all happy to celebrate the winning against Germany on Sunday :D .

This Euro football tournament has been magnificent!!! I’ve really enjoyed all the matches and especially here in Camino, as we all are from different countries. All teams played wonderful and it was like most of them were whiskered as winner.

I really have to say congratulations to Russia and Turkey! Who would have thought that they would beat countries like Netherlands and Croatia and go to the semi-final? Turkey had a great performance in the field. They lost versus Germany, although I think Turkey played much better and deserved to win. All Turkey’s matches were (more…)

Euro Football Cup 08 - The quarter finals

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Hi everyone!!!

Here we are again with some news about the European championship. Seven countries have already passed to the quarters; today we are waiting for the last country to pass, Sweden or Russia. The only big surprise of the Championship was that France did not go through to the next leg, but considering in which group they were, one of the ‘big’ teams had to come back home soon…

So, Germany, Portugal, Croatia, Turkey, Netherlands, Italy and Spain have passed to the quarter finals. We are going to see very interesting matches this week, starting with Germany – Portugal. After the win versus Austria with the result of 1-0, the German press has warmed up its tone for the players and especially for Ballack. Germany’s problem right now is Lukas Podolski who might not play in the quarter final match versus Portugal, because he was injured in calf. This is really good news for Portugal :) .On the other side the goalkeeper Jens Lehman said that he is prepared for the match and that he knows a secret way to stop Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal. However Germany has a lot to improve in its game and this was clearly seen in its last match versus Austria. The match Germany – Portugal will be very difficult, where Portugal is whiskered as winner. (more…)

Euro football cup 08 - Go Spain!!!

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Hi everyone! Here we are again with some news about Euro football cup 2008 :)

One week has past and we have seen how all the participating countries play and I believe we have created an idea about which countries might pass to the quarter-finals.

Lots of surprises: winnings we have seen and I think lots of money have been lost in bets :P

Well, Portugal has definetly secured its place in quarter finals. According to Deco, “we aim again to the final and this time to win ;) . That’s why we wanted to rapidly pass to the quarter finals”. Well, they could win this championship as they are in very good form and with one of the best coaches in the world, Scolari.

The runner-up in this group will be between Turkey and Czech Republic and it’s very hard to predict the second runner-up in this group…

I’m really sorry for Switzerland who did not pass to the quarters. As they are one of the (more…)

Euro Footbal Cup 2008 - Who will win?

Friday, June 6th, 2008

Hello everyone :D European Championship 2008 will start this Saturday and I’m so excited. I love football and especially when it is a competition between countries.

From today we will start a Euro 2008 blog (category Sports), where we will inform you about everything that will happen during the tournament, the qualifiers to the quarters, semis or final, and gossips about the football players and general information about the championship… You can also participate with your comments :)

Greece won surprisingly the Euro 2004 in Portugal. This year seems very difficult to predict which country might be the winner. Probably Italy since (more…)
