Christmas fun at Camino Barcelona
Hi everyone,
It’s me, Daniel. We have some great activities planned to get you all into the Christmas spirit!
Remember that we are also open in Christmas and to celebrate it we have a complete programme of Christmas activities between the 17th and the 28th December, including a visit to the Christmas market and a multicultural Christmas lunch in the school where we will all bring something typical from our countries to share! ![]()
Look out for more news on what is going on at the school this Christmas…
Activities 17/12/07 – 21/12/07
Monday - Christmas Welcome Party
A big welcome to all our new students who want to spend their Christmas with us! Join us in the school for tasting of traditional
christmas snacks – nougat candy, marzipan, ‘turrones’, ‘polvorones’ and a lot of other special Christmas things! It’s also a great opportunity to meet everyone in the school!
Tuesday:
Workshop: Christmas in Spain
We will learn all about the typical Christmas vocabulary and Spanish Christmas traditions by watching a famous TV program called “Aquí no hay quien viva”.
Wednesday - Visit: Christmas market
We will visit the Christmas market of Santa Lucía in the centre of the Gothic Quarter and we will see the street decorations around the area.
Thursday - Sweet afternoon:
We will go around the “Turronerías” to get some Christmas sweets and will taste the famous ‘chocolate with churros’ (kind of fried bread sticks) in a ‘chocolateria’ in the centre of Barcelona.
Friday - Multicultural Christmas lunch:
We will have a multicultural Christmas lunch in the school where we will all bring something typical from our countries to share. Last year the Philippines’ ‘violet’ cake was a big success! What will surpirse us this year?

The school will be closed for these two days but an excursion and activities will be organized. Check out the blog for forthcoming details!

Discover how we spend Christmas Eve in Spain with the film “La primera noche de mi vida”…
Thursday
We will celebrate the coming of the New Year at the “Xampañet” drinking some ‘cava’ (Catalan sparkling wine). Our students like it so much they normally buy bottles to take home!
