City walks: Route 1 (Gothic tour) and 2 (Modernist tour)
Route 1: Ruta Gótica (Gothic Tour)
The Gothic tour starts off in the cathedral at Plaça Nova. It takes you to the Town Hall and down roads like Carrer Montcada. You’ll get to see some of the amazing architecture of the Gothic quarter. Your tour guide, Anna, will tell you stories of the expulsion of the Jews and the conquest of Mallorca by King Jaume I, and much more.
Route 2 - Ruta Modernista (Modernist Tour)
This second route begins at the famous Las Ramblas. During this tour you will see the houses of Gaudí and walk along the Passeig de Gràcia, as well as all of the other famous sights in Gracia neighbourhood. In this one Anna will tell you about Gaudí, Montaner and Puig who will all try to show you that their famous works are better than their colleagues.

Once you have finished the routes, you can write about your journey on the City Walks website, (www.citywalks.es) for other travellers to read. You can also read the comments of other travellers, and find out their favourite sights, before you go, so you don’t miss a thing!
Prices: City Walks cost 10 Euros for 24hours, in which time you can listen to the recordings as many times as you want, or however many times your feet will let you! You will also need to leave a deposit of 30euros to borrow the MP3 devices, which will be refunded to you once you return the MP3 player.
