City walks - your own personal tour guide to Barcelona!

Hi folks!

Today I am going to introduce one of our new team members. Her name is Becky and she is from UK.

Hi! I’m Becky, I am the new Work Placement student here at Camino Barcelona. I’m currently studying Spanish and Italian at the University of Liverpool. As part of my degree, I have to complete a year abroad and split it between Spain and Italy, to learn more about the cultures and languages of the countries. I’m having such a good time exploring the city, I love it!!

So, let me introduce to you our newest activity here at Camino, City Walks. It is your own personal tour guide to the city. There are two different routes that you can take to discover the real Barcelona. Both tours are recorded on to one small MP3 player, so they are really convenient and easy to use.

They give you total freedom and independence to discover the famous sights in your own time. The pack also includes a map of each route, so you can see where you are, in case you want to go back and see the sights again. They are great for any age and both of the tours start less than 15 minutes walk from the school. Each route takes between 2 and 3 hours but you can do it at your own speed, so you can stop along the way to visit the famous sights that you’re going to see or to have something to eat or drink at one of the cafes you’ll pass by. The MP3 is recorded in 5 different languages, so there is no need to worry if you are only a beginner here at Camino. The languages are; Spanish, English, French, Italian and German.

The City Walks packs are great if you are only here for a short time in the city, as you will get to see the most famous places that you’ve read about before you arrived. They are just as good if you’re here for a few weeks, as they introduce you to the sights that you can go back to during your stay, and they give you the freedom to really get to know the city.

More about the routes on next blog…

See you!
