Hello everyone!

Today I bring you exciting news of Barcelona’s next electronic music festival - DJs Contra La Fam (literally Djs Against Hunger)- which will take place this Sunday!!!  Not only does this promise to be a great event, it is also in aid of a very good cause!

The event: a whole afternoon/evening of dance music from some of Europe’s best up-and-coming DJs - expect quality DJ sets, live bands, funky audiovidual displays and…a chillout area for when you have danced too hard and need a rest!  You can see the prorgamme here: http://www.djscontralafam.org/2007/eng/programme.html  

The cause: 100% of the proceeds will be donated to 3 different charities who care for victims of domestic violence, women and children living in poverty and pregnant women in need of support.  They are hoping to raise 18,000 euros in total!

The practical stuff: The festival will take place on Sunday 7th October, from 4pm - 12pm in san Antoni Market, located in calle Comte d’Urgell, near our school residence.  If you want help finding it, just let us know in reception!  The entrance price is 10€, or 8€ if you buy the ticket in advance via the bank ‘Caixa Laietana’ (they are located all over the city).
