Hi everyone! Here we are again with some news about Euro football cup 2008

One week has past and we have seen how all the participating countries play and I believe we have created an idea about which countries might pass to the quarter-finals.

Lots of surprises: winnings we have seen and I think lots of money have been lost in bets

Well, Portugal has definetly secured its place in quarter finals. According to Deco, “we aim again to the final and this time to win . That’s why we wanted to rapidly pass to the quarter finals”. Well, they could win this championship as they are in very good form and with one of the best coaches in the world, Scolari.

The runner-up in this group will be between Turkey and Czech Republic and it’s very hard to predict the second runner-up in this group…

I’m really sorry for Switzerland who did not pass to the quarters. As they are one of the hosting countries, they would have enjoyed much if their own country could experience the tournament.

Surprises in Group B! I would have never thought that Croatia would win 2-1 to Germany. I’m really impressed by the play of Croatians. They really deserved to win; the Germans were not so dangerous. Now Germany has to gather all their forces to win the match with Austria if they want to pass to the quarter finals!

Group C is definitely the hardest group of all, France, Italy, Netherlands and Romania. The results of the previous matches indicate Netherlands as whiskered. We have already seen a “final” match between Italy and Netherlands, where the latter one won 3-0 vs. the World champions. Today’s matches are: Netherlands – France (the second advanced “final” match) and Italy – Romania.

Van Basten, Netherlands’ coach said that he is going to change the tactics for this match. Netherland is going to pass in defence and he believes that this match is going to be very difficult. Van Basten promises spectacle for today’s match and he would be happy with a draw.

What about Italy? Hmm if they do not win this match, the world champions will not pass to the quarters. The endurance of Italy and Romania is waited with lots of emotions from both parts. From one side there is the tension of the world champions, who risk getting knocked out and on the other side we have the euphoria of Romanians for the draw with France, who probably want to be confirmed as the “killers of the BIGs” .
To avoid a shameful lost, Donadoni, Italy’s coach, said that Del Piero and de Rossi will start from the beginning of the match. If they win… Santarelli, one of MTV’s hostess will strip live for the Italians

The winners of Euro football championship 2004, Greece, lost their match vs. Sweden. The Swedish newspapers have idolized Zlatan’s goal, which was really good. The hopes to the final have raised and Sweden seems a very dangerous team with really good football players.

Tomorrow is the big match of the final group between Sweden and Spain. I don’t know if I want Sweden to win or Spain :S . Right now I live in Spain, but I have lived for many years in Sweden… probably I will wear my official t-shirt of Sweden and hope for a winning
