Good afternoon!

Friday afternoon and the Festivals of Gracia, one of the most popular celebrations in Barcelona of more than 100 years of existence, has nearly finished! If you have not yet had the opportunity to go there, do not hesitate one more minutes! You have one more chance!

Jeremy, already introduced in his last blog, is a great fan of this “Fiesta” so I will let him give you his own recommendations. Have fun!!!

If you don’t know it yet the festivals of Gracia began on Saturday morning, and many major events already occurred since the opening of the festivities.

The result for the best decorated street of the district was announced just yesterday evening. And the winner street is Verdi which precedes that of Tordera and Joan Blanques de Dalt, but certainly you will have a different point of view, that’s why I invite you all to visit these streets, and do not hesitate to compliment the locals for their courage and inspirations.

Now let us concentrate on what you can do until Friday evening. This Wednesday a magic activity is planned; go and see the latest Harry Potter movie, in Plaza del Norte around 17:30. Then I advise you to go to Gospel and Swing in the same street at 22:00. Finally, Will Smith fans will be delighted by the showing of Hancock @ C/Llibertat at 23:00.

Thursday the festivals of Gracia take you to New Orléans. At 13:00 there is a Jazz concert with special guest Freddy Lafont the Cuban artist. Then let us go a little more North to the United States and an evening of country music in C/ Providència around 23:00.

After Thursdays’ music, Friday offers a “Botifarada popular” local sausage tasting around 12:00 at C/ Puigmartí. Then I invite you to go to Plaza of the Villa Gràcia to look at the spectacle offered by the percussionists. Finally Friday obliges, a meeting cinema is offered to you to see Night at the museum with Ben Stiller and the musical comedy Mama Mia!
