“Ladies and gentlemen… directly from Cavalia: Marie Soleil!”
Hey everyone,
It is really a great pleasure for me to introduce this new entry!
As most of you probably know, Annie and Marie-Soleil (our two very friendly students from Montréal ) both work in Cavalia, the magic horse show that is currently taking place in the Forum. I first thought I would write about their show and then Marie-Soleil kindly suggested to give us her own presentation about the show:
“Hi everybody!
Have you heard about the new show in town called Cavalia? It’s a really artistic show with horses, riders, acrobats, dancers and musicians… and of course, one singer, me!
In class, here at Camino, one of the first things that we have to say in Spanish is what we do for living. When I said that I was singing for Cavalia, it drew the attention of a lot of people and Sandrine suggested to write a blog about the show.
Cavalia was created in Québec in Canada. Its principal subject is to demonstrate the relationship that exists between the horses and the human beings. Frédéric Pignon and Magalie Delgado, the two main trainers of the show always work with the horses using kindness and simplicity. Frederic is known as “The horse whisperer’’. And as far I am concerned, you could tell that I am kind of the spirit in the show: To me, my voice is like an echo of what people see on stage. The theme of the show softly transports the audience into another world. During two hours and a half, the public literally disconnects from their daily life.
If you want more information about it, you can check our web site or the following video:
And if you come and see the show, you can recognise me by my crazy pink hair!!!!!
Marie-Soleil Dion “
So.. Aren’t you amazed? Isn’t it surprising to have a fellow student part of such an exciting adventure?
And one last question: Would you have recognized Marie-Soleil if I had not told you it was her?
As you all know, you are mostly welcome to participate in this blog, not only to leave comments but also to post anything you have enjoyed doing in Barcelona and that you would like to share with us.
Have a great week-end!
Sandrine
