¡Hola gente de Camino! ¿Qué tal sienta vivir en una ciudad tan apasionante como Barcelona? Como cada año en estas fechas, llega uno de los eventos más interesantes y conocidos de la agenda de ocio de la ciudad: las fiestas de Gracia (del 15 al 21 de agosto).
Así como otros barrios barceloneses, Gracia celebra su fiesta mayor llenando de vitalidad sus calles y plazas. Esto se produce en gran parte, gracias a la manera tan original de decorarlas. Los vecinos de cada calle se reúnen y, ajustándose a un tema determinado, la decoran para así darle un aire especial y místico. De hecho, las calles que presentan las propuestas más genuinas son galardonadas con un premio. La calle Verdi, por ejemplo, ya cuenta con una cierta tradición al haber ganado en varias ediciones. Con la foto que aparece a continuación, os podéis hacer una idea de lo que os vais a encontrar.
Para poder disfrutar de las fiestas tranquilamente, es ideal ir durante el día, ya que no hay mucha gente y se puede circular con cierta normalidad. Por la noche, las calles se llenan de gente joven con ganas de pasárselo bien. En todas partes puedes comprarte un refresco y bailar al son de la música. Incluso en algunas de las “placitas” típicas de Gracia (Rius i Taulet, Sol, Diamant,etc) se suelen ofrecer conciertos en directo de bandas locales. 
Si podéis, no desaprovechéis la ocasión de acudir a estas fiestas tan divertidas y singulares. ¡Os permitirán conocer de muy de cerca a la gente de Barcelona!
Hello people of Camino! How does it feel to live in such an exciting city like Barcelona? Like every year at this time, the “Festes de Gràcia” are the top event of the entertainment program in Barcelona.
From the 15th till the 21st August, the streets of this pintoresque and village-like neighbourhood will be welcoming loads of people willing to enjoy a very special atmosphere. One of the main features is the way how streets and squares in Gracia are decorated. The neighbours living in every street gather and decide how they want their street to look like, and then manufacture the decoration themselves. Actually, the street with the best look is awarded with a price. On the picture, you can see what you might come across in Gracia!
If you’d like to have a walk around the area and have a close look at the so called decoration, the best thing to do is to come during the day, as it’s not so crowded and the atmosphere is quiet. In the evening Gracia is flooded by young people who are eager to party till late; you can buy yourself a drink everywhere and, at some of the tipical little squares in Gracia (e.g.Plaça del Diamant on the picture), there’s even the chance to see a live music performance of a local band.
