My favourite places near Camino Barcelona

Hola

I wanted to share some of my favourite places close to the school with you all: they are all within 15 minutes walk. Why not make a trip and don’t forget to let me know what you think of them!!!

Bar Olimpia
Located between el Paralelo and la Ronda Sant Pau, you get there within 10 minutes if you follow the road that the school is on. It has a retro feel and is tucked away in an old shopping street, it is a place which is full of history and with cheap, high quality tapas. All their products are homemade and local to the region. I recommend Asturian cheese platter, the selection of catalan sausage and the house vermouth. It´s only a 10 minute walk away!

Bar Calders:
This bar is in the area of Sant Antoni with a very peaceful terrace, a beautiful design and a selection of original little dishes at excellent prices. Try their cocktails and my special recommendation: their patatas bravas. They’re head and shoulders above the rest. 15 minutes walk from the school and worth a trip!

Bar Ramon:
A little old rock n roll bar which is typical of the city, stuck in the past you will love their marketplace tapas. Even if you’re not hungery, you are bound to enjoy the ambience if you pop along for a beer either in the bar or outside – just a 10 minute walk!

Sexi Wines:
My favourite wine shop in the city. The owners are charming and they will recommend you the best wine to suit your budget and your tastes, whatever they may be. They specialize in low-cost wine from Cataluña and also organize clases about wine and cava as well as monthly wine tasting sessions. A short 10 minute walk from the school!

Celler Cal Marino:
You will have to hop on the metro but within 15 short minutes you will have arrived. In the popular area of Poble Sec you will find this marvelous bar, specializing in tapas, vermouth and wine. Extermely cheap and charming. One Saturday per month they organize a vermouth musical. Have a look at their website or their facebook! 15/20 minutes in metro

Mikasa Japanese Restaurant:
Homemade japanese food and cheap too! It is just around the corner so if you like japanese food, there is nothing more to say. There is an 8 euro menu each day and it is 1 minute away from the school.

Casa Goldferichs:
An impressive house, now converted into a cultural centre for the city. It has a lovely garden and a diverse range of workshops on offer. At just 5 minutes walk from the school, it is worth the walk just to see the outside of the building!

Jazz Sí Club:
One of the very few places in the city where you can see live music every day. Whatever music you like, they´ve got it! Jazz, Cuban, flamenco, rock, rumba… watch every day and enjoy. Every evening at 20.30 there is concert. It is just 10 minutes from the school!

HomoSibaris:
A bar which specialises in farmhouse beer from Cataluña and all around the world. The owner is a sommelier with expert knowledge of beer and is a huge fan of the good things in life. You can ask him for advice about any type of beer and he will surprise you! The also have cheeses and catalan sausage. It is in a pretty little square in the Sants area. About 10 minutes by metro or 20 minutes if you fancy going on foot.

Cheers,

Anita
