My wonderful experience at Camino Barcelona!

Hi everyone!

I am Valerie, 19 years old. I am a third-year student of the university of Maastricht. I study International Business and Languages. Now I am here in Barcelona for an internship. First I will study for four weeks at Camino Barcelona to improve my Spanish. After that I will do an internship at the school. This is the second time I have studied at this school. In October 2007 I was here for 2 weeks. I had a great time! That´s the reason why I have decided to go back to Camino Barcelona. I started my second course a week ago.I have learned a lot so far! The group sizes are very small, so the teachers can pay extra attention to every single student. I have to speak Spanish in class. Sometimes this is a little hard for me, but with a little help of the teachers it is not a problem. I am glad that my Spanish language skills improves very quickly.

I live with three friends of mine in Barcelona. Two of them are from Holland, also from the same school in Maastricht. One guy is from Germany. Actually I met him at Camino Barcelona! He was in my class, when I was here for the first time. We have decided to look for a flat for four persons, because we are all here for almost half a year to do an internship. Every morning I can walk to the school, because it is very near to our flat.

It is great to live in Barcelona! In Barcelona it is very easy to go to every place in the city. You can walk or you can just take the metro. It is very convenient! Every 3 minutes a metro arrives so it does not take very long. In Holland it is different. In the city were I live there are no metros. And the buses only arrive 2 times in one hour. It also takes very long to travel because the buses are always slow. So that is antoher reason why I am glad that I am here!

Barcelona is a city that never sleeps. In the middle of the night there are still a lot of people on the streets. I feel safe because of this. I don´t think Barcelona is a dangerous city! I love the city! And I am sure I will have a very great time here again. Why don’t you try it yourselves?

Valerie

Hi Valerie! I love the pictures that you posted…especially of the class in session on the school’s patio area. That’s great that you’re going back to Camino for a second time. I know I would definitely recommend Camino to anyone. Good luck with your internship :)
