One night @ Palau de la Música!

Hola @ todos!

How are you? Did you go to the Three King Parade? Did you see all the magical string of cars around BCN last Saturday? Did you catch some sweets?

Well today I would like to tell you something about my favourite music styles and about a nice concert on 22nd January…

You should know I nearly love all kinds of electronic music, like House, SCHRANZ and Gabber (greetings to my friends from the Netherlands) Is there anyone out there who knows this types of music, too!?! There are some great places to go here in Barcelona! E. g., La Cova or Raum, Nitsa, Illusion or Moog… however, you can find more places with this kind of music in Italy, France, Netherlands and good old Germany! ;-) You should also have a glance on myspace.com or grupodejavu.com. There you could find some artists and awesome parties here in Barcelona. Here you can acquire a taste for my music! ;-)

Do you know them? What type of music do you like?

Furthermore, I’ve a soft spot for Spanish music, in particular for Rock/Pop music. I like Fito y Fitipaldis, Sueño de Morfeo, Estopa, Antonio Orozco etc. very much. And this is why I actually write to you.

The latter will give a concert on 22nd January in the “Palau de Música“. Antonio spent his childhood in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat right here in BCN, although his parents are from Seville. In 2000, he issued his first album. He has a really amazing voice and he did some popular duets, e. g. with Natalia (5ª Estación). The tickets are not so expensive (between 18 and 48 euros a ticket) and you could buy them directly at the Telentrada (902 10 12 12, Caixa Catalunya). I will definitely go to this concert! There you have video of him!

Hope to see you on the dance floor or in the concert!

Greets, Daniel

Hello Daniel! Sounds like you’re learning quite a bit about Spanish music. Actually, when I was living/studying in Granada, Spain two years ago, my host brothers were really into House music. So they got me into it as well. The others that you mention I have never heard of before, but Sueno de Morfeo sounds like they would be great to listen to. You may have inspired me to buy some new CD’s…hope you have fun at the concert!

Hello Jeffrey! Thanks for response! In my opinion, Sueño de Morfeo is an excellent band. They take celtic parts within their songs. If you like this type of music, I can warmly recommend you to listen to some songs of “Héreos del Silencio”, “El Canto del Loco”, “Los Planetas” o “Ska-P”. Regarding to the concert, there are only a few tickets left… So hurry up guys, if you would like to see Antonio! ;-) Greets, Daniel
