Our Teachers - Úrsula
Today I would like to introduce you to one of our teachers, Úrsula.
We have prepared a questionnaire for her, so that you can get to know better our teaching staff. Are you prepared to know ‘everything about Úrsula’?
My name is… Úrsula Valle Martín
I was born in… Salamanca
I studied in… Salamanca and Barcelona
My life changed when… I got a grant to study in Barcelona
The best thing about Barcelona… is the mixture of different people, and the feeling you get that you are in a city but with areas that look like a village!
The worst thing of Barcelona is… the number of cars
My vision of Barcelona changed when… I got a bicycle
A place in Barcelona… the antique ‘Botanical Garden’, the cellar- ‘tasca Floren’, the ‘Melies’ cinema
To learn a new language is… to discover a new me
To learn a language it’s important… to open wide your eyes and ears, to be ready to get surprised
In a Spanish class there must be… a laugh, a silence, a discovery and a conversation
I like to be a teacher because… I like to chat, I’m interested in other cultures, I like to work with people and with words!
The grammar is… a word for teachers, not for students
A mania… to get a place for everything
I’m incapable of… ironing!
Today I had for breakfast… I actually have breakfast twice, when I get up: fruit and cookies, and afterwards, a ‘café con leche’ (coffee with milk)
Before getting to sleep I like to… take a hot beverage
And that’s it for now, but keep on reading, because you will know more about other teachers soon!
