Peace in the city - Barcelona’s botanical gardens
Hello Folks!
This weekend I went to Montjuïc with some friends to visit the castle and on the way I discoverd the Botanical Gardens of Barcelona. If you are in need of a little escape from the stress of city life, then check out these gardens, because they are really beautiful.
Just on the Montjuic hill, and in the surrounding areas, there are eleven different gardens, so it is possible to follow a route which goes through the Jardins del Joan Maragall, the Jardins del Viver dels Tres Pins and the jardins del Mossen Cinto Verdaguer. The area around Montjuïc is an ideal place to spend a morning playing sport, reading a good book or simply thinking. I recommend you to go there with a packed lunch and spend the day in these peaceful surroundings!

If you want to know anything else about the gardens - how to get there, when they are open, etc, just ask me in reception!
Hope you like them as much as I did!

Hi Laura!
I completely agree with you: botanical gardens are the perfect place to spend some quiet time and enjoy nature. I have visited the ones in Oxford and I loved the green houses, it was like being in a real jungle! It’s something diffent from the usual sightseeing, I recommend it to everyone!
