Salsa in Barcelona - Part 2
Hello everybody!!!
Here I’m back again with some news about places, where to go, what to do and “Where-can-I-learn salsa” in Barcelona!
In this very last period, salsa seems to be very “popular” here and lots of students at school also ask us about “salsotecas” an places where they can take some classes!
After having talked with some of them, the most popular ones are:
“Mojito Club“, located in Calle Rossellón 217 (at the corner with Calle Balmes) and the “Mojito Bar” in the Vallés Park, Terrassa (something like half an hour from Barcelona); “Antilla”, in Calle Aragón 141 and “Habana Barcelona“, in the Barceloneta at the corner with the Paseo Juan de Borbón.
In particular, this last bar, it’s also a restaurant and it is open from Thursday to Sunday, but on Tuesday nights from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Jorge Camaguey will teach you how to dance salsa… and trust me, he is really amazing!!
But if you are very fond of salsa, you really have to look at the official web site of “Cubame Mucho”, the World Tour of Cuban Salsa Congress, as they will probably come to Spain soon!
And actually this weekend I’m going to fly to Munich with my teacher to take part on it and I’m really excited about that!! 4 days of Salsa Cubana dancing with the best dancers of all the world!!
And the famous band ‘Los Van Van’ will open the congress with one of their incredible shows!!
And if you haven’t heard of them yet… well… take a look at this video and let the music play!!
Hope to see you there

After studying in Spain I could not get enough Salsa. I have actually just signed up for classes here in Boston, Ma! I love this dance, and only wish I was still in Spain to practice my moves more often! Everyone who studies there must learn this dance!
