Salsa in Barcelona
Hello everybody!!
Well well well… I know it doesn’t match with my “rock ‘n roll spirit”, but I definetly love salsa!!
I started 4 years ago when I was living in Malaga, thanks to a friend of mine who works as a salsa teacher.
Now, she’s living in Barcelona too and, because she knows all the best places in town, the very first thing I asked her when I moved here was: “Where can we go to dance salsa”?
And the answer was MOJITO CLUB!
The “Mojito Club” is located downtown Barcelona, in ‘Calle Rossellón’ 217 (at the corner with ‘calle Balmes’) and besides being a very nice salsa bar, it’s also a place where you can take salsa classes!
The dancing school “Buena Vista” is one of the best ones in Barcelona and it’s specialized in teaching salsa “en linea” (in a line), international and “rueda de casino” / Cuban salsa.
They offer classes at all levels and you don’t need to be a couple to enroll there.
The course is made up of 10 classes, once a week and it starts every 3 months. The next course will start on the 14th January 2008 and you can find all the information you need to enroll in their official web site!
Remember: there’s also a “Mojito Bar” in Sabadell and, even if it is a little bit far from the city centre, it’s bigger than the other one!
The club is open every day from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. and from 11:30 p.m.to 5:30 a.m. during the weekend, so you can go there to practise whenever you want!
And taste one of their mojitos… that’s the reason of the bar’s name
Have fun!!!
