School Activities Programme: Gaudi’s week - 17th March - 21st March
Hello everybody!
How are you? I hope you´re doing fine… Have you already planned your Easter holiday? Why not coming to Barcelona? There are many fascinating things waiting for you!
Welcome drink
Next Monday we will welcome all the new students in the garden, taking profit of the nice sunny days we are having lately around here! There will be some sangria, little tapas, and of course, some Spanish music! As in any other activity, teachers will also join students in the welcome drink.
Tuesday: 14:45
Workshop: Antonio Gaudi
Do you know Antonio Gaudi? He was one of the most important architects in Spain, and he has remained ‘alive’ in all the works that we can still see in Barcelona: Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Casa Batllo or La Pedrera, among others.
Wednesday: 15:00
Boat Trip in a ‘Golondrina‘
We will go around the city coastline, including the port, in a special boat trip on a ‘Golondrina‘, which is a tourist type of yacht. I bet it will be very exciting!
Thursday: 14:45
Visit to Güell Park
We will go to this impressive park designed by Gaudi, it’s like being in a surreal fairy tale! Apart from having a drink on the terrace, we will have the chance to see the magnificient views of the city from there!
And on Friday, the school will be closed due to the Easter break until the following Tuesday. however, on Saturday there is a special day excursion organized to the beautiful mountain and monastery of Montserrat and to the famous ‘Cavas Freixenet’!
Please ask in reception for further details.
As you can see there are plenty of things to do next week! I’m sure you’ll enjoy a cava in the Freixenet cellars however, tomorrow we will be publishing a blog post with some more interesting ideas on what to do in that long weekend! If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me!
Have a nice day!
Daniel
