School Cultural Activities Programme: 21st-25th January 2008

Here I am back again to tell you about our cultural activities programme for the next week!
MONDAY 21ST, 3:00 P.M:
“COFFEE @ THE “CAFE CENTRAL” AND A WALK AROUND THE CITY CENTRE
We will take a walk with Alex (the teacher) and a coffee at the “Café Central”. This is your chance to get to know the city centre and everybody here at school!Come and join us!
TUESDAY 22ND, 2:45 P.M.
“WORKSHOP: ALMODÓVAR AND THE MOVIDA“
We will talk about the cultural movement of the “Movida Española”, which characterized the 1980s in Spain, and one of its main characters: the film director Pedro Almodóvar.
WEDNESDAY 23RD, 3:00 P.M:
“VISIT TO THE PEDRERA-CASA MILA“
We will visit the Pedrera, one of Antonio Gaudi’s most famous works. The ticket includes the visit to the terraces, the Pedrera’s flat and the new “Gaudi’s space”.
THURSDAY 24TH, 8:30 P.M:
“TAPAS EVENING!”
We will have some “tapas” @ “Los Toreros”, a very typical restaurant located in the centre of Barcelona. It includes sangria!
FRIDAY 25TH, 3:30 P.M:
“CINEMA FORUM: PEPI, LUCI, BOM Y OTRAS CHICAS DEL MONTÓN“
We will do a restrospective of the 1980s in Spain throughout the first film of Pedro Almodóvar, entitled “Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón”.
