Sonar Music Fest - NOT ONLY ELECTRONIC MUSIC
SoniaHello guys!! As you know in Barcelona there is always something going on. Today I want to tell you about one of the most popular festivals in Europe, the SONAR festival. 
Sonar is an electronic music festival and this year it will be on the 19th, 20th and 21st of June. It takes place in three different stages in the city centre: ‘Centro de Cultura Contemporanea’ (CCCB), ‘Centro Macba’, and ‘Gran via 2′. Why in so many different places?? Because the festival is during the day and the night and it is not only music. It’s much more than that! To see location click here.
Let’s start with SONARMATICA: This part of the festival is dedicated to the world of the multimedia, net-art and web design. They also have a part dedicated to a country and this year will be dedicated to France.
Another part of the festival is SONARCINEMA: As the name shows, it will be an area dedicated to the cinema where there will be a mixture of technology, music and the seventh art. They will show documentaries, feature films and short films. All of them made with the most innovative technologies. Completely different as the ones you will see at home, that’s for sure!!!
The main theme however will be of course the music. This year will be groups like: Richie Hawtin, Oscar Mulero, Soulwax, Goldfrapp, The Field, Miss Kittin (one of my favourites!) and many more. Click here to see the full programme.
Well this is only a small part of what Sonar is about, but I think the best of it all is not only the music and the best DJ´s, it’s the atmosphere and the people. Will it be full of people?? Yes, and everyone goes there to have a really good time. It’s amazing to see so many styles, new fashion tendencies, hair styles, piercing, tattoos… It is almost impossible not to have fun and meet new people from everywhere. I see you there guys!!!!
