Tibidabo

DSCN3052 1¡Hola a todos!
Today I will talk about the Tibidado…
Tibidabo is the highest hill in Barcelona and it reaches 512 m.
It’s great to go there on a sunny day as you can see the whole city and Montserrat, too.
DSCN3044The name “Tibidabo” comes from the devil, who, trying to tempt Jesus Christ, took him to this high place and said, in latin: “Haec omnia tibi dabo si cadems adorabeis me” (I will give you all these things if you withdraw and adore me).
To go to Tibidabo, you should take a metro or a bus until “Avinguda de Tibidabo” station, then you should hop on the cable car “Tramvia Blau”, Barcelona’s last surviving tram, which runs between Modernist mansions to Plaça del doctor Andreu.
From there, the Tibidabo Funicular will take you to the top of the hill and you can enjoy DSCN3050the great panorama, through all the city and have fun at the amusement park, if you like this kind of stuff.
When you come down, you can have a coffee or a drink in one of the bars located in Plaça del Doctor Andreu, such as the “Mira Blau”, before coming back to the city.
DSCN3045 1I hope you would like it!

¡Hasta pronto!
Felipe
