‘LA SEGUNDA REPÚBLICA Y LA GUERRA CIVIL ESPAÑOLA‘
Como otras semanas, el martes hicimos un taller cultural sobre Historia de España. Esta vez hablamos sobre un periodo reciente y trágico de nuestra historia: La Guerra Civil (1936-1939). Primero, tuvimos una charla sobre cómo era España antes de la guerra y qué significó el periodo anterior, la segunda República, que duró de 1931 a 1936.
Después, vimos cómo empezó y cuál fue el desarrollo de la guerra, que terminó con la victoria del bando nacional, y significó el inicio de la dictadura del general Franco.
Después de la charla vimos unos fragmentos de unos documentales con imágenes de la República, de la guerra, y por último, con personas españolas que vinieron la guerra civil aquí, en Barcelona, y hablan de sus recuerdos de esa época.
En el año 2006 se celebró el 70 aniversario de la segunda República española, así que es un buen momento para ver exposiciones sobre este tema en Barcelona. Si te interesa la historia, no puedes perderte:

CULTURE WORKSHOP: THE SECOND SPANISH REPUBLIC AND THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR
On Tuesday, as many other weeks, we had a cultural workshop, this time on Spanish History. We talked about a recent and tragic period of our history: the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). First we had a discussion about how was Spain before the war, and what the previous period meant, the Second Republic, that lasted from 1931 until 1936.
After, we analysed how the war started and developed, and how it ended with the victory of the nationalistic side, which meant the beginning of Franco’s dictatorship. After the talk, we watched a documentary on the Spanish Republic and the War, with some real testimonies of people who lived the war here in Barcelona.
In 2006, it was the 70th commemoration of the second Republic, so it is a very good time to see exhibitions about this subject in Barcelona. If you are interested, you can not miss the following:
