Venice Art Exhibition…my hometown comes to Barcelona!!!
¡¡Hola a todos!!
Here I’m back again with some “cultural” tips…
The “Caixa Catalunya” Fundation has organized a new exhibition @ the Casa Mila-La Pedrera, starting next Monday, October 22nd 2007.
This exhibition is about Venice (my hometown
) and its reputation of global prestige in Europe during the XVIII century.
It’s made up of a collection of more than 127 paintings, designs and sculptures, comissioned by the ex director of the National Museum of Art of Catalunya, Xavier Barral.
The exhibition intends to provide a vision of the venetian arts during this period, in which the city was changing and growing, becoming at the very same time, one of the most important cities in Europe.
Casa Mila-La Pedrera is located in Pg. de Gracia, 92 (just in front of the metro stop “Diagonal” L3, green line). It’s open every day from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the permanent collection cost 3€, while temporary collections (like the Venetian one) are free!!
For more information, you can contact the Casa Mila-La Pedrera: (+34) 93-484-55-30
or visit the official web-site: www.caixacatalunya.es
Have a nice weekend!!
