There is a reason the Paella Party is our most popular activity. Our Spanish teachers take off their "teacher hats" and put on their chef hats to cook up the best seafood paella you’ll find in Barcelona, right before your eyes!

While the paella simmers, you can enjoy tapas to start and, of course, plenty of our homemade Sangria. We have a sun cover on the terrace to keep you comfortable while you eat, so you can sit back and soak in the amazing views of the city. 

The Spanish Kitchen: Vocabulary & Secrets

Our teachers will explain the entire process in Spanish. We encourage you to bring a notebook and take notes so you can recreate the magic for your friends and family back home. 

• El Delantal (The Apron): Our teachers put these on to start the "class."

• La Paella: Did you know that "Paella" is actually the name of the wide, shallow pan, not just the food?

• El Arroz: The heart of the dish! We use a special short-grain rice that absorbs all the flavor.

• El Azafrán (Saffron): The world's most expensive spice, which gives the rice its beautiful golden color.

• Las Especias (Spices): We'll show you the perfect blend of pimentón and other herbs.

• El Caldo (The Broth): The secret to a great paella is a rich, flavorful fish stock.

• Las Gambas (The Prawns): Fresh seafood that adds that authentic Mediterranean taste.

• El Sofrito: The slow-cooked base of onions, garlic, and tomatoes that creates the foundation of the dish.

• Secure Your Spot: Spots fill up very fast! Make sure to make your payment first thing Monday morning to secure your place.

• Be Comfortable: We have tables and comfy chairs ready for you. Just bring your appetite!

• Sun Protection: Don't forget your sunscreen, even with our sun cover in place.

• Allergen Note: Please be aware that our recipe contains shellfish and fish.
