What to do after arriving in Barcelona

Ideally, you should arrange to arrive in Barcelona on the Sunday before your course starts. We will send you the full address of your accommodation, before you arrive. If you need to arrive a day earlier, this may be possible, but let us know, so that we can arrange an extra night’s accommodation for you.
All of our accommodation options are located in central areas and within walking distance of the school.

Arrival information depending on the type of accommodation:

Shared student apartments
Upon arrival in Barcelona, please go directly to Calle Comte d'Urgell 78 to collect your keys. On weekends, we welcome new students in person from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.
If you arrive outside these hours, you can collect your keys and detailed instructions from the secure key box at the same address.
Host family
Upon arrival in Barcelona, please go directly to your host family’s home. It is very important that you inform us of your expected arrival time, so we can notify your host family in advance. We will send you all host family details before your arrival.

How to get to our school:

Our school is ideally located just a 15-minute walk from Plaza Cataluña, in the very centre of Barcelona. The nearest metro station is Urgell. The majority of student accommodation is less than 10 minutes away on foot, ensuring easy access to the main city attractions and making your daily journey to school simple and convenient.
Please note that you should arrive at our school at 08.00 on the first day of your course.

Your first day at school:

Please arrive at our school at 08:00 on the first morning of your course. We will welcome you to the school and provide all the information about Barcelona, the school, and your course. If you are not a complete beginner in Spanish, you will take a spoken level test (usually done the week before your course starts) so that we can place you in a group appropriate for your language level. If you are a complete beginner, you won’t need to do a level test and will join a beginner’s group.
We will also show you around the school and the centre of Barcelona. On the Sunday evening before your course starts, we offer a pleasant Welcome Walk, where you can meet other students. It’s natural to feel a little nervous on your first day, but there’s no need to worry — we want you to settle in quickly and will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and happy to be in Barcelona!

Emergency telephone number:

After you reserve your Spanish course, we will send you confirmation of the course reserved for you, together with the school contact details and emergency telephone number. If you have booked accommodation, you should inform us of your expected time of arrival, so that we can make sure that somebody is in, when you arrive at your accommodation.

If your arrival is delayed, or if you have some other emergency regarding your arrival, you should first of all telephone the school main telephone number. If our offices are closed, contact the emergency telephone number.
