Cancellation policy

Our refund policy complies with current Spanish law regarding refunds in the travel sector. Depending on the reason you are canceling your program the following cancellation policy will apply:
1) In case you are not able to travel to Spain due to an official travel ban between your country and Spain, related to COVID-19, we offer these options:
Postpone your course to another date without any extra charge. We will gladly postpone your course as many times as you want, you just need to send us an email about it 1 week before the original start date of your course.

If you do not know the start date to postpone to, we will give you a voucher to purchase another course for the same price, when you have decided upon the date that you want to start. It will be possible to use this voucher at any future date. The voucher can also be transferred by you to any of your friends or family members if you so wish.
If you want a cash refund, you will only be able to convert your voucher into a cash refund no earlier than 9 May 2022 - exactly one year since the State of Emergency was lifted here in Spain.
This refund policy is to comply with recent changes in Spanish law regarding such refunds in travel and tourism-related businesses.

If your visa is rejected please send us the rejection letter and confirm if you want to make an appeal or request a refund.
Please note that the refund will take approximately 1 year after the visa rejection.

2) If you receive your visa successfully but need to cancel the course and accommodation due to a serious personal reason (illness or accident), our school will only ask you to cancel your visa by contacting the Spanish consulate in your country. After the visa is canceled, the following refund conditions will apply:

Amendment by a Student

If a student wants to reduce the duration of their course, change their start date or change to a cheaper type of course or accommodation, the school may agree to this, dependant on availability. The school must be informed this in writing, no later than 28 days before the start of the course and an amendment fee of 100 Euros will be charged. No amendments will be possible to the accommodation or course reserved, if the school is informed of this less than 28 days before the start of the course, or after the course start date. There will be no amendment fee if a student asks to extend their course or change to a more expensive course or more expensive type of accommodation.

Travel, Transfers and Visas

Students must make their own travel arrangements and are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, such as a valid passport and visa. The school will supply the necessary documentation for students to obtain a visa, but are not responsible for a Consular authority's decision whether or not to issue a visa. It is the student's responsibility to allow sufficient time to obtain a visa and they should check with the Consular authority regarding how long this is likely to take. If a student asks the school to send documentation to them by courier service/express delivery (not e-mail or normal mail), the student will be charged for the cost of this express delivery/courier service.

If a student is unable to attend a course due to being unable to obtain a visa, the school will normally refund any fees paid, provided that the student presents the official refusal letter issued by the Spanish embassy in applicant´s home country. If the official refusal letter is not presented to the school, but the official visa letter has been issued by school, the school is unable to refund any fees paid. If documentation is denied due to reasons within the student's control (such as the student not possessing a valid passport, or other necessary documentation or not allowing sufficient time for the visa to be issued), the standard cancellation fees will apply.

Airport Transfers

The school can arrange airport transfers, at a cost of €80 one-way, from Barcelona International Airport to the student’s accommodation. However, the school must receive payment from the student for this service, together with full details of the student’s arrival time and flight number no later than 7 days before a student is due to arrive. If the school does not receive these flight details within 2 days before the predicted date for the arrival of the student, the school is not responsible for the student being met at the airport and the airport transfer fee will not be refunded.

Our expectations

Students, and those accompanying students, are expected to behave in a courteous manner and to respect fellow students and staff at our school, as well as to those with whom they share their accommodation. The illegal use of drugs, alcohol abuse or inconsiderate or offensive behavior towards others is considered unacceptable. The school reserves the right to withhold courses and school accommodation from any student violating school regulations or generally behaving in an inconsiderate or offensive manner towards others. The school reserves the right to terminate the course and remove from accommodation, any student violating the terms of this article. In such circumstances, no refund will be paid for the course or for the accommodation.
