Reviews for: Geni Alonso Arija

We were fortunate to have some lessons with Geni while we were studying for our A2 and B1 exams. She is an experienced and excellent teacher. She really connects with the students, is creative and thoughtful. She also has a great sense of humour and laughs easily. Someone you can trust and rely on to help you grasp the Spanish language. Thank you Geni!

Geni Alonso Arija

Spanish Teacher

City and country of origin:
Palencia, Spain
Short info:

Geni brings with her all the experience of teaching Spanish. She worked in different Spanish schools and can now bring all her knowledge to Camino. Her classes are fun, entertaining and super educational.

Languages spoken:

I have a degree in Spanish Philology and a diploma in English Philology. I am also a proofreader and editor

Favorite places in Barcelona:

I love walking around Montjuïc, I always discover something I didn't know I had. Another of my favourite places is the Maritime Museum, whose terrace in summer is a real oasis. The Gothic Quarter and the Born are also special places

My hobbies:

Music is my passion: I listen to music from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep. I used to play the piano as a child and now I've taken it up again. I also like solving puzzles, it helps me to switch off, to relax. I enjoy reading all kinds of books, although I always go back to the classics

Personal statement:

Travelling and meeting people from different places is something I love. That's why being a Spanish teacher allows me to be close to people from different cultures. I can teach them my language as well as learn from them and their culture
