Noelia Romero López
Spanish Teacher
Noelia is a much loved teacher, she has been working with us for a while and is always praised for her wonderful teaching. She makes learning Spanish fun and the students say that they learn a ton.
Combined Degree in English and Spanish Studies (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona) Master's Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Official Language Schools (University of Barcelona) Teacher training course for teachers of Spanish as a foreign language (Instituto Cervantes Leeds)
My favourite places in Barcelona are the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter and the Borne. I love getting lost and finding my way around the interesting corners of the Ciutat Vella. I also love the Gracia neighbourhood for its terraces, atmosphere and second-hand bookshops. My third and last favourite place is the Poble Sec neighbourhood for its delicious pinchos (tapas).
I am a very artistic person and whenever I have free time I like to do some kind of craft: painting, macramé, refurbishing old furniture, decorating? My other great hobby is music. I love singing and playing the ukulele.
Being a Spanish teacher means being in constant contact with people from all over the world. At the same time as I teach my language I learn about their cultures. I love to see the enthusiasm of my students to learn Spanish and that they are able to communicate no matter how little knowledge they have of the language.
